The April Vase, designed in 1991 by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy, is now considered as a classic. The Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou considered this vase as a marker of its era and integrated it in the permanent design collection in 1997.
Inspired by Japanese ikebana, this vase glorifies the beauty of flowers by isolating each one in a tube. Articulated with metal rings, the April Vase adapts its form to the flowers it displays and the support it is placed on, giving every person the pleasure of composing a beautiful flower arrangement.
 
The April Vase is made up of glass tubes and interlocking metal fixtures. To
assemble the April Vase, please consult a video on our website. The zinc protecting the metallic pieces becomes matt once in contact with water
and an attractive grey veil, like frost, appears.  The metal fixtures should not be put into the dishwashing machine. But the April Vases does enjoy a nice warm bath of dishwashing detergent in your sink. Each vase comes with a handy spare glass tube. Extra tubes are available separately.
